Amadeu Castro

Amadeu is a Senior Policy Advisor, offering our clients senior level connectivity expertise and impact in Brazil. An Electronics Engineer with over 40 years’ experience, he has held senior roles at the Brazilian Regulator, Anatel, the Ministry of Communication (MoC), the National Cellular Operators Association (Acel) and at the GSMA where he was Director for Brazil.

At Anatel Amadeu was Substitute Member of the Board of Directors, Executive Superintendent and Superintendent for Radiofrequency and Enforcement. He was deputy chair of Permanent Consultative Committee III – Radiocommunications, of Organization of the American States (CITEL). At the MoC he was Deputy Secretary and Director for Radiofrequency Administration and chaired the Brazilian delegations to the UN World Radiocommunication Conferences, in 1995 and 1997.

Amadeu graduated in electronic engineering at the University of Brasilia (Brazil).
